Covenant Media Press, I applaud this concern for all aspects of our defense of the faith. Brian November 1, This book is an essential part of any apologist’s training, and since all Christians are to be apologists, we should all read this book.

My only somewhat critique of this book is that for a book designed to be introductory, it does dive deep at times. In the realm of law and government this thinking is horrendously common.
He takes himself to be the reference point for all interpretation of the facts. I have read and learned much from aleays other works on apologetics, but Bahnsen’s profound yet simple approach to defending the faith is by far the best. The reason and logic that the unbeliever points to as an authority, is in itself totally corrupt apart from the new birth, and even in an unregenerate person, it is part of his alsays nature and is never a place to start.
I certainly recommend this excellent work on apologetics. Anyone who is seriously wanting to learn Christian apologetics. A treasure trove of biblical apologetics, and sound doctrine; a pearl of wisdom and truth.
So, by all means, give yourself to the study of apologetics, in which this book shall be invaluable. Straight-forward and to the point, Always Ready is an easier introduction to presuppositionalism than Van Til.
But then again what makes a good story is an evil villain. May you find the peace that I have found in God that goes beyond any need for a reward. The qlways of God would necessarily logically, if not personally remain subordinate to the autonomous, final standard.
It’s Presuppositional Bahnsen is not willing to concede any philosophical ground as “neutral” territory. Bahnsen’s enthusiasm for assuming what you are trying to defend or prove, a very obvious rebuttal to this would for the non-Christian to simply assume a coherent worldview similar to that of Dr.
Finally a presuppositional apologetics book that I understand!

Jun 25, Josiah Richardson rated it it was amazing. It is important for Christians to do more than just find common ground to build upon with non-Christians, the foundations of feady must be shown to be faulty and demolished.
The way he dealt with the “problem of evil” in one of the later chapters of the book was by itself worth the price of the book. Bahnsen suggests that the Christian apologist can defend the truth of the faith by arguing for the impossibility of the contrary.
